Walk when taking calls

The best and the most effective way to maximize your daily steps is to walk when taking calls. When speaking over phone, your mind is diverted and you can complete a lot of steps without even realizing. Walking seems quite effortless when you are speaking over phone.

However, to avoid any stress on your hands and neck it is recommended to invest in good quality Bluetooth earbuds or earphones. Walking effort reduces significantly when you are using earbuds to talk over phone wile walking.

So be it business calls or personal calls, just plug in your earphone and start walking.

Take the longer route

Avoid shortcuts and take the longer route when returning from office, going to a shopping mall or anywhere else. Those few extra steps you would take actually make a lot of difference at the end of the day.

Walk while waiting

There are so many instances in the day when we wait. It could be waiting for someone or waiting for the tea to boil or else your food to cook. Instead of standing, walk while you wait. Listen to music or Podcasts

Listening to music is a very effective way to complete steps. Walk, run or dance listening to your favorite tracks making the entire experience more fun. You can also listen to podcasts while walking. Listen to science, history or geography podcasts to increase your knowledge while walking. Next time you meet your friends, you can show off on the knowledge you gained.

Walking for a social cause can give you additional motivation to complete 10000 steps everyday. There are multiple apps now a days that tie up with the organizations where you work.
