This app is the product of a joint investment between the Easyhome retail group and Alibaba. It has both a web and mobile versions with the latter allowing to take pictures of your home and then create designs. If you feel you need it, then Homestyler has a series of more advanced pairs. Four features that can be unlocked. This is very common among the best home designing software.
Homestyler markets itself as an easy online 3d home design tool with the web browser version straightforward enough to get working within just 10 minutes of your time. If you like to keep things simple then you’ll appreciate that Homestyler’s mantra involves just three steps and they are 1) Decorate 2) View and 3) Build. And if it’s your first time trying out software of this kind then make use of the beginner’s guide which points out all the tools you’ll need to get started.
Homestyler is a versatile tool if you’re looking to make renovations across your home. Creating rooms is as simple as drawing a box across your screen with doors and windows able to be selected from your side panel. If you want to get a little more technical then you can also upload images or computer aided design and draw up your rooms from pre-existing plans. You can also add floors at the touch of a button with scope for revamping your basement. If you’re just brainstorming then there’s plenty of free templates that will allow you to bounce ideas around without worrying too much about the specifics.
Virtual architect ultimate 10.0

The virtual architect ultimate home design. Virtual architect ultimate 10.0 is designed to make any kind of project very easy whether it’s a kitchen makeover or a new building or just an extension. This app promises to make planning simple even if you have never used this kind of app before.
We liked the virtual architect series version 9 of this app and while the interface design is actually starting to show its age the app itself is too simple and straightforward to use. A large part of that is down to the app’s wizards which guides you step by step through everything you are going to need for a particular kind of project. Instead of leaving you with a white blank screen they will guide you through the process of your remodel landscaping or new building that really softens the learning curve and can make home planning apps a little bit scary and with the house builder wizard it also gives you the app to take you through every stage of designing an entire house. There are also many sample designs that you can use as templates or just as playgrounds to familiarize yourself with how everything fixes together.
The differences between version 9 and version 10 of this app aren’t dramatic. There is better functionality for doors and windows. The search tool makes it quite easier to find particular building materials and there are new sky boxes for photo realistic backdrops. Version 10 can produce more impressive 3d visuals with new lighting and presentation mode but the core of the app is largely constant. Virtual architect ultimate was already a very solid package with a very good drawing tools.
Floor Planner
If you’re already used to home planning software you can import your previous plans. We particularly like the tracing option that you can use to mimic existing blueprints which you can then edit to suit your own requirements and which enables you to combine elements from different floor plans.
You can add your own digital photos to the design, you can also include pictures of your family to help you visualize how the finished project will look. The little tutorial window has been retained that tells what each tool does as you move the mouse over it if you’ve tried some other home design apps you’ll know that some apps just leave you with a bunch of tiny icons that you have to try and decode without any help so this is a very welcome feature.

Now we’re coming to the third one. It’s the best in pricing – yes we’re talking about Floor Planner. Floor Planner is very user friendly software that drawing floor plans, is comparatively easy and less time consuming. To draw walls you have two options- 1) either you can directly draw a box illustrating a room or 2) you can draw single lines that would depict each wall. Drawing rooms directly is easier than single walls. If you want to have partitions in your room then drawing a single wall would be very beneficial as there is no option for a curved wall. So you need to draw short walls to cover up this flaw.
Once the room is ready then it’s very simple to play with the shape of the room and this is where your creativity comes into the picture. When the walls are shifted then the dimensions are shown. There is an input field at the bottom of the screen where you can manually give the particular input during drawing. You can click on the dimension lines and accordingly change the size of the walls by providing a custom input. There is a sidebar on the screen which allows and shows the calculated area of the room. It is comparatively easier to add windows, stairs and doors. Placement or height of windows can be changed easily if needed.
So that was it- the best interior design software of this year. We hope that this article has proven to be very helpful for you.
